CARING FOR YOUR PRINTED APPAREL

How to Wash Your Screen-Printed Clothing for Long-Lasting Quality

We want you to enjoy your screen-printed apparel for as long as possible! To help keep your prints looking vibrant and fresh, here are a few easy care tips:

  1. Turn it inside out – This simple step helps protect the print from friction and direct contact with other clothes during the wash.

  2. Use cold water – Washing in cold water is gentler on both the fabric and the print, helping to prevent fading and cracking.

  3. Choose a gentle cycle – A mild wash cycle minimizes stress on the garment and preserves the design.

  4. Avoid harsh detergents – Stick to gentle or color-safe detergents. Avoid bleach or fabric softeners, which can wear down the print over time.

  5. Air dry when possible – Tumble drying on high heat can cause prints to crack or peel. For best results, hang dry or lay flat. If you must use a dryer, use the lowest heat setting.

  6. Skip the iron on the print – If ironing is necessary, make sure to avoid direct contact with the screen print. Turn the shirt inside out or place a cloth over the area.

With just a little extra care, your screen-printed clothing will stay looking awesome, wash after wash. If you ever have any questions about caring for your items, we’re always here to help!

RECYCLE YOUR CLOTHING

Did you know that some textiles can take over 200 years to decompose in a landfill? Instead of throwing away old clothing, do the environment a favor and find a local textile recycling bin, or at least repurpose your clothing before discarding it. Old T-Shirts, for example, make great rags for cleaning, or you can even stuff a dog bed with them and donate it to a local shelter!
